Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) is a Collective Management Organisation licensed by the Kenya Copyright Board under the Copyright Act, 2001 to represent performers of audio and audio-visual works.
PRISK is mandated to collect license fees from the users of sound recordings and audiovisual works and distribute royalties to performers.
Purpose: Owing to our fast growing operations, we are currently seeking the services of a young, qualified, experienced and dynamic person to fill the above position.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports under strict deadlines.
  • Accurate capture and posting of data and financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Checking and verifying daily collections of license fees against bank statements and accurate preparation of collections reports.
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations
  • Preparation of payment vouchers and handling accounts payables.
  • Monthly control accounts reconciliations of cash book, debtors, creditors, collections, payroll etc.
  • Timely remittance of tax returns and other statutory deductions
  • Maintenance of the general ledger fixed assets register
Qualifications and Key Competencies
  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA (K) or ACCA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office package programs such as Excel as well as an accounting package such as QuickBooks is a MUST.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a busy accounting office preferably in a similar environment.
  • Ability to communicate with people across all levels.
  • Ability to work flexibly and under pressure.

Senior Accountant
The Catholic Secretariat of Mombasa is the Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa (CAM) Administrative, facilitative and coordinative arm through which the CAM implements and coordinates various pastoral programs at the Archdiocese level and undertakes all those responsibilities which express the mission of the Catholic Church.
The organization is seeking for an outstanding, dynamic and result-oriented individual to fill the position of a Senior Accountant who shall be responsible for maintaining highest levels of integrity, quality and timeliness in financial reporting, in compliance with the organization’s internal policies, Regulatory requirements and donor rules and regulations.
Reporting line: The senior accountant shall supervise two accountants and reports to the Finance and admin manager.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Overseeing the accounting function including budgeting, cash flow management, payroll, management periodic reporting’s, asset records management, financial variance and accounts analysis, compliance with various legal requirements regarding licenses, rates, labor laws and tax returns, and also facilitating annual external audits; all these, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, financial policies and procedures of CAM and all other applicable laws, rules and guidelines.
  • Managing the accounting department and overall supervision over the maintenance of accounting records in the QuickBooks accounting system.
  • Continuous enhancement of internal control policies and procedures, and administering them; including interpreting and explaining applicable rules, laws and regulations to other department heads and staff.
  • Assisting in the development and adherence of current and long-term organizational goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree in accounting or finance and a qualified Accountant with CPA (K).
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a not for profit organization.
  • Experience in implementing and utilizing QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards.

The County Assembly of Kirinyaga wishes to recruit a competent and qualified person to fill the post of county Payroll Manager.
He/she will be heading the payroll unit and will be reporting to the Human Resource Manager of the county.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Developing integrated County Assembly payroll management systems
  • Developing monthly payroll systems
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Human Resource Management budgets
  • Preparing and maintaining standard ad hoc reports queries and conducting appropriate audits to ensure integrity.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate Human Resource records

Requirements for appointment:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or in a relevant field
  • A masters degree will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant working experience of not less than three (3) years in payroll management.
  • At least CPA part two qualification is highly preferred for this position
  • Hands on experience on payroll packages preferably IPPD or G pay

Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Collections Officer, the job holder will ensure compliance with internal credit policies and procedures, best practices and CBK prudential guidelines to facilitate management of credit risks within tolerable levels. 

He/she will ensure that ALL approved and disbursed loans are fully repaid as stipulated in the terms and conditions.

Key Roles and Expectations
  • Management of one day arrears for all disbursed loans within the institution.
  • Continuously track and report on the loan recovery progress for all loans in arrears.
  • Prepare weekly arrears reports for all the branches and follow with them to ensure full repayment.
  • Support branch collections and recovery processes then ensure recovery and debt collection processes are dully followed.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations on bad debts for further decision making.
  • Process and maintain an updated register on loan related insurance claims and ensure prompt reimbursement.
  • Monitor debt collection response cycles and contacts as well as credit control performance.
  • Manage resource scheduling and the determination of priority of work and procedures to maximize production output and success levels.
  • Report and monitor all risks associated with debt recovery.
  • Generate compliance reports for use in decision making and performance appraisals.
Minimum Requirements
  • Business Related degree, Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years experience in lending in a financial institution with exposure in debt recovery /collection.
  • Business management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Credit and Security management is a must.
  • Team leader/player.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant laws governing financial institutions.
  • Good interpersonal and report writing skills with ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent leadership ability.
  • Ability to work independently.
