Shocking moment a four-year-old girl ‘smokes’ a cigarette
Shocking ... a toddler 'smokes' a cigarette
THIS is the shocking moment a four-year-old girl pretends to smoke a CIGARETTE.
Little Destiny took to the stage with the fake fag during an episode of controversial US reality show Toddlers & Tiaras.
Wearing a black leather jacket and tight trousers, the youngster recreated a scene from the movie Grease, in which Sandy (played by Olivia Newton-John) lights up then stamps out a cigarette.
'Acting' ... Destiny was recreating a scene as Sandy from Grease, right
The child then sashayed around the stage, pouting and performing a sexy dance routine.
Pouting ... Destiny performing a sultry dance on the show
Before Destiny hit the stage, mum Lisa reminded her: “Don’t forget to smoke”.
And Lisa defended the prop cigarette, saying: “Sandy was a good girl, and it’s all just acting.”
Picking up the habit ... little Destiny
But the move did not impress the show’s judges, who blasted the “totally inappropriate” stunt.
Toddlers &Tiaras has previously shown a four-year-old wearing fake boobs, little girls dressed as drag queens and an eight-year-old learning to pole dance.

David Beckham: the end of a boot-iful relationship1) David Beckham Becks experienced Fergie's wrath following a 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford in February 2003. Legend has it that the United boss told Beckham after the game that Ashley Cole had made him look "a right Charlie" (or words to that effect), only for Becks to retort "not as big a one as Wenger made you look". In fury, Fergie kicked out at a stray boot, which hit Beckham above the eye and left him needing stitches. Fergie later fessed up to the incident, insisting "It was a complete accident". What happened next?Beckham left the club to join Real Madrid six months later. Paul Ince: there was only one 'Guv'nor' at Old Trafford. And it wasn't him
2) Paul Ince The self-styled Guv'nor always had a fractious relationship with the real boss of Old Trafford, and things got even worse following a 4-0 defeat at Barcelona in November 1994. "You're a bottler, Incey. You cannae handle the stage, can you?" Fergie reportedly taunted the midfielder in the Nou Camp dressing room. The United manager hustled Ince out of Old Trafford and was later recorded branding him as "a f***ing big-time Charlie" in a dressing-room documentary.
What happened next?Ince was sold to Inter Milan in the summer of 1995. Lee Sharpe: ain't no party like a Fergie party
3) Lee Sharpe Fergie was left fuming during the title run-in of 1992 when he discovered that United prodigies Lee Sharpe and Ryan Giggs had been seen out on the town in Blackpool after a crucial defeat to Nottingham Forest. The United boss headed straight for Sharpe's house to confront him, only to find a party in full swing. Fergie promptly flung everyone out of the front door with the words "Go on, go home. This is no f***ing party house" before ripping Sharpe to shreds.
What happened next?Sharpe survived this time, but it signalled the beginning of the end of his relationship with Ferguson and he left for Leeds in 1996. Ruud van Nistelrooy: why the long face?
4) Ruud van NistelrooyThe Dutchman fell out with Fergie after he was left on the bench for the League Cup final in 2006. Their relationship finally imploded after Van Nistelrooy was dropped for the last Premier League match of the season and stormed out of the stadium three hours before kick-off. It was later reported that RVN had been dropped for the final after a training ground fight with Cristiano Ronaldo, during which the Dutch striker had taunted the winger with the words "Go crying to your daddy", a reference to United coach Carlos Quieroz.
What happened next?Van Nistelrooy was promptly flogged to Real Madrid. Roy Keane: MUTV killed the midfield star
5) Roy KeaneKeano had long been Fergie's manager on the pitch, but that didn't stop the two having a stormy relationship. Matters came to a head in 2005, when the Irishman criticised a training camp in Portugal, before lashing out at team-mate Rio Ferdinand in an infamous rant on MUTV, declaring, "Just because you earn £120,000 a week and play well for 20 minutes against Tottenham, you think you're a superstar". Keane was stripped of the captain's armband and dropped for a reserve game.
What happened next?Keane left United immediately, before joining Celtic. Paul McGrath: not drinking with Fergie anytime soon 6) Paul McGrath Ferguson had pledged to rid United of its booze culture when he took over as manager at Old Trafford in 1986. The Irishman had been one of the ringleaders, but his cultured performances on the pitch had spared him the axe. Until, that is, both he and Norman Whiteside appeared drunk in a TV interview before an FA Cup tie in 1989. Ferguson soon gave both miscreants their marching orders.
What happened next? McGrath was sold to Aston Villa for a bargain £450,000, going on to play the best football of his career and earning the PFA Player of the Year award in 1993. Gordon Strachan: he's a screamer
7) Gordon Strachan The two outspoken Scots had enjoyed success together at Aberdeen, but that counted for nothing when Ferguson became the midfielder's boss at Old Trafford in 1986. "The screaming and shouting did not cease," Strachan later recalled. "It just got worse and more personal." Following one poor performance against Nottingham Forest, Ferguson told the media, "Strachan, to me, was like a triallist who had found himself completely out of his depth. He seemed to be intimidated by Stuart Pearce."
What happened next? Ferguson knocked on Strachan's door the next day to tell him he was being sold to Leeds. Jaap Stam: writing his own death warrant 8) Jaap StamThe Dutch defender was bombed out of Old Trafford in August 2001 after a dressing-room showdown following a poor performance in a 3-2 win over Fulham on the opening weekend of the season. Fergie let rip at Stam after the game, and the Dutchman responded with both barrels. Their relationship had already been shattered by damaging revelations made by Stam in his autobiography, but the incident marked the end of the his career at United.
What happened next? Stam was transferred to Lazio.
Peter Schmeichel: great Dane, lousy arguer Getty 9) Peter SchmeichelFergie once sacked the imperious Danish keeper after conceding three goals at Anfield in 1994. The United boss criticised Schmeichel for his distribution after the match, but the Dane wasn't having any of it. "We ended up having a massive, massive row. The next day, I was called into his office and he said, 'Listen, I have to sack you. I can't tolerate my players speaking to me like that. It goes against my authority.'"
What happened next? Schmeichel apologised to Ferguson and his team-mates, and went on to win four more Premier League titles and the Champions League in 1999. Norman Whiteside: He liked a lager drink, he liked a whiskey drink.. 10) Norman WhitesideThe Belfast midfielder is another United legend who regularly received a tongue-lashing from Fergie over his boozing. On one occasion during a club trip to Bahrain, Whiteside and team-mate Bryan Robson were forced to walk the three miles back to the hotel after being discovered on the lash in the bar by Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox. Ferguson's patience with the Northern Ireland international soon ran out.
What happened next? Whiteside was transferred to Everton in the summer of 1989.
With those words Tom Wolfe introduced Neil Armstrong, the astronaut hero of his nonfiction masterpiece, "The Right Stuff." Armstrong, of course, was a masterpiece himself: the commander of the 1969 Apollo 11 mission and the first man ever to walk on the moon. Armstrong died Saturday from complications relating to heart surgery. He was 82.
All these decades, Armstrong, the lunar Adam, has represented a code his admirers knew better than to try to crack. Not that, early on, great literary minds—besotted by the baby-faced genius—didn't try.
Wolfe continued: "You'd ask him a question, and he would just stare at you with those pale-blue eyes of his, and you'd start to ask the question again, figuring he hadn't understood, and— click —out of his mouth would come forth a sequence of long, quiet, perfectly formed, precisely thought-out sentences."
So Wolfe warned against understanding Armstrong in "The Right Stuff." And that warning was more or less heeded, somewhat miraculously, until Armstrong's dying day. Profilers kept their mitts off him. Hollywood starlets didn't swoop in to wreck his family. And, most mercifully of all, Carson and Merv Griffin and Dinah Shore and Ali G and Oprah didn't demand that he couch-surf with them.
This is astounding. In the 1960s and '70s , the national pastime was psychologizing postwar celebrities—John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali. And once a hero is cracked open by one Vanity Fair profile, the pile-on never ends. This one had a sex addiction; this one had a chip on her shoulder; this one could never live up to his big brother.
Let's not do that to Armstrong, Wolfe pleaded. In any case, the great man simply would not succumb. Armstrong was simply, at heart, not homo psychologico. He was homo machinator, homo ingeniator. The engineering man.
In an era when everyone was expected to evince the adolescent emotionality of Marlon Brando or Allen Ginsberg, Armstrong was resolutely adult and elegantly square. He was a Navy pilot from a small town who married a home-ec major at Purdue whom he had no recollection of courting or even proposing to. (Janet Armstrong, with whom he had three children, evidently didn't remember any courtship either.)
Though astronauts in the time were represented as hard-partying matinee idols, Armstrong always described himself as a "white-socks, pocket-protector, nerdy engineer." He wasn't boasting, though engineers are, of course, the hotshots of today: the hackers and technologists who keep pushing into the new breach—the postfinal frontiers of cyberspace.
Once in 1969, Norman Mailer bullied Armstrong into saying something—anything—romantic about going to the moon. (Armstrong would have to cough up the romance, Mailer wrote, or be considered "a spiritual neuter.") Armstrong stood his ground like a Buddha. "I think we're going to the moon because it's in the nature of the human being to face challenges," he said, defying Mailer. "It's by the nature of his deep inner soul ... We're required to do these things just as salmon swim upstream."
Those words are perhaps the most gorgeous words the press-shy astronaut ever said, including his famous scripted line about the giant leap.
Michael Collins, an Apollo 11 crewmate, wrote that Armstrong "never transmits anything but the surface layer, and that only sparingly ... I like him, but I don't know what to make of him, or how to get to know him better."
Maybe we weren't meant to fully understand Armstrong. Only to hold him in awe. Like the moon itself.
Billionaire Ty Warner gives woman $20,000 for her cause after asking her for directions
Jennifer Vasilakos (Jennifer Vasilakos)
A woman who helped a lost man ended up with a surprise $20,000 gift.
That's what happened last month when Jennifer Vasilakos guided Ty
Warner when he stopped and asked for driving directions in Santa
Barbara, Calif.
While Warner didn't know exactly how to get to where he was going, Vasilakos didn't realize who she was helping.
Warner is the billionaire founder of Ty Inc., the Beanie Baby company.
Vasilakos was at the intersection trying to raise $20,000 for a stem
cell procedure she needs to help save her life because she suffers from
kidney failure and does not qualify for a transplant.
She describes their encounter in her blog:
I often get asked by random strangers for directions.
Not one to miss an opportunity, I handed him my flyer and he made a
fifty dollar donation. As he drove off, I thought that was the end of
our encounter... He'd returned after an hour or so. Rolling down his
window, he reached out his hand and introduced himself. I immediately
recognized his name. He was kind and sincere as he looked directly
into my eyes... I listened as he repeated over and over that he was
going to help me. That my fundraising was done. That I didn't need to
worry any longer. He said he would send a check after he returned to
his offices during the week.
He was true to his word. Vasilakos, an herbalist and Reiki teacher,
received a package on July 16 with a $20,000 check and with a
handwritten note from Warner. The note read in part, "Someone up there
loves you because I was guided to meet you Saturday. I never lose my
way, but fate had me lost and ask you for directions. The rest of the
story I hope will be a wonderful new life for you." Courtesty of Jennifer Vasilakos
"Of course I started crying, because that's what girls do," Vasilakos
said. "I'm incredibly thankful to Ty Warner and to everyone who has
supported me with love and prayer."
The check cleared a few weeks later and she booked a surgical
procedure at an undisclosed foreign hospital to begin hematopoietic stem
celltreatment. Hematopietic treatment takes a cell from the
blood or bone marrow that can renew itself and develop into a variety of
specialized cells.
"After I serendipitously met Jennifer, I further educated myself on
her stem cell needs. I was shocked that this particular type of
treatment wasn't available to her in the U.S.," Warner said in a media release.
"My hope is that we can bring this lifesaving treatment to the
forefront so that it can become more readily available and provide
alternatives for people like Jennifer."
So the chance meeting allowed both Warner and Vasilakos to each continue on their journeys.
Olympic Darling Missy Franklin Receives Care Package From Justin Bieber
Missy Franklin/NBC
What's better than scoring four gold Olympic medals in London this year? Well, if you're 17-year-old swimming phenom Missy Franklin, the only thing that could put the cherry on that particular sundae is getting a personalized present--from none other than Justin Bieber!
Franklin, whose favorite artist is Bieber, told Today about her surprise gift from the superstar. "He sent me a huge care package, which was so awesome," she enthused. "I walk home and my mom is so cute. She took everything out and set it out on the table, and I had T-shirts and CDs and posters and all that stuff."
The Colorado high school senior says she's looking forward to Bieber's Denver tour stop in January. "My friend actually bought me tickets for my birthday, so we're going to go, and I think we might be able to get backstage passes hopefully," she noted.
This isn't the first time Bieber's sent props to Franklin. After she won her first gold medal late last month, the singer called her out in a tweet. "Heard @FranklinMissy is a fan of mine," he wrote. "now im a fan of hers too. CONGRATS on winning GOLD! #muchlove." To which Franklin replied: "I just died! Thank you!"
One thing Franklin and Bieber share besides a mutual admiration of each other--they both seem to like tattoos. Franklin told Today that she just inked Olympic rings on her hip last week. Bieber recently tattooed the name of his latest album, Believe, on his arm to commemorate its June release.
Top military brass fear release of classified information
Bin Laden ... the book will be released next month on the 11th anniversary of 9/11
DETAILS of the top secret US special forces mission to kill Osama Bin Laden are set to be revealed for the first time.
A member of the crack Navy SEAL team has written a first-hand account of the historic assault on the terror leader’s Pakistan compound.
The author of the book – entitled ‘No Easy Day’ and scheduled for release next month on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 – has left the military and uses the pseudonym Mark Owen.
He describes the account as an effort to “set the record straight about one of the most important missions in U.S. military history”.
Owen also says it is about the sacrifices special forces make and is written in the hope it will inspire young men to become SEALs.
But news of its publication has triggered fears among top military brass that classified information might be released.

US military officials claim the book has not been read or cleared by the Defense Department, which reviews publications by military members to prevent the disclosure of secret material.
Special operations forces are banned from revealing classified information such as intelligence data or military tactics.
While Owen’s publishers claim the work has been vetted by a former special operations attorney, officials at the Pentagon, White House and CIA have said their agencies have not seen the book.
Defense Department spokesman Lt. Col. James Gregory said if the book reveals classified information about the raid, the Pentagon would “defer to the Department of Justice" and former SEAL Owen could face criminal charges.

Secret Service Arrests Armed Man for Alleged Obama Threat
Secret Service Arrests Armed Man …
Federal agents in Washington state have arrested an armed man accused of making threats against President Obama.
U.S. Secret Service agents and local law enforcement officers descended on the suspect's apartment complex in Federal Way, Wash., on Tuesday afternoon, sources said. The man, armed with at least two weapons, confronted the officers, who swiftly subdued him and took him into custody. Secret Service Assistant Special Agent in Charge Bob Kierstead told local ABC News affiliate KOMO that suspicious items found in the man's apartment -potential explosive devices - prompted a sweep of the entire complex by a bomb squad.
Obama, who was campaigning in Ohio at the time, did not appear to be in immediate danger.
"A threat against the president was delivered via email to a general FBI inbox," said Cathy Schrock with the Federal Way Police. "The Secret Service went down to investigate and the defendant was found to be armed when they arrived at the apartment."
The suspect, whose name has not been released, is currently in federal custody and will have an initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon, sources said
Girl, 11, Could Face Death in Pakistan for 'Blasphemy'
Pakistani authorities arrested a Christian girl and are investigating whether she violated …more the country's strict blasphemy laws after furious neighbors surrounded her house and demanded police take action, a police officer said Monday. The arrest of the girl and outrage among the local community demonstrates the deep emotion that suspected blasphemy cases can evoke in this conservative Muslim country, where rising extremism often means religious minorities live in fear of persecution.(AP Photo/B.K. Girl, 11, Could Face Death in Pakistan …
To some, she's an innocent victim, an apparently mentally challenged Christian girl swept up by a rising tide of irrational Islamic extremism. To others, she's God's enemy, guilty of a crime so vile the only suitable punishment is death.
On Monday, Pakistani police arrested the girl, known only by her first name, Ramsha, after accusations that she burned pages of the Koran, Islam's holy book. In Pakistan, it is a crime to utter derogatory statements or insult the Prophet Muhammad or the Koran in any way. Blasphemy convictions carry an automatic death sentence.
The accusations, made by the girl's neighbors in a mixed Christian-Muslim neighborhood, sent area Muslims into a fury, with some police reports suggesting an angry mob of hundreds of men descended on her home demanding authorities arrest her and charge her with blasphemy.
They then allegedly went on a rampage, attacking the girl's family and setting Christian houses on fire. The girl's parents are now in protective custody and, according to reports, several Christian families have left the neighborhood, an impoverished district in the country's capital, Islamabad.
Police officials put the girl in jail for 14 days, but suggested the charges might be dropped for a lack of evidence. When she was brought to jail, she reportedly had a shopping bag filled with religious and Arabic-language papers, but it was unclear whether the papers were pages of the Koran.
Some have said the girl is mentally challenged and suffers from Down's syndrome.
The case is drawing worldwide condemnation, including from senior officials in the United States, a key military and political ally that gives billions in annual aid to Pakistan.
On Monday, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland referred to the case as "deeply disturbing."
"We urge the government of Pakistan to protect not just its religious minority citizens, but also women and girls," she said.
Critics say Pakistan's blasphemy laws are often misused and applied vindictively, often as a way to target minorities.
"It has been exploited by individuals to settle personal scores, to grab land, to violate the rights of non-Muslims, to basically harass them," said the head of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Zora Yusuf.
Pakistan's blasphemy laws have met with controversy in the past. Last year, a prominent Pakistani politician who advocated reforming the law was gunned down and killed by his own bodyguard while leaving an upscale Islamabad cafe frequented by westerners.
Pakistan's president, Asif Ali Zardari, has ordered an investigation into Monday's incident.

ARSENAL were last night set to cave in and strike a deal with Manchester
United for Robin van Persie.
They are ready to start serious talks with United boss Alex Ferguson hoping to
seal a £22million move before the weekend’s Premier League opener.
United and Italian giants Juventus have yet to improve offers of £15m.
But Van Persie, 29, was jeered by his own fans in Sunday’s win over Cologne in
Germany and is now desperate for a move to be completed.
United see that as the opening to force through a deal.
Arsenal were demanding £25m for the Dutch striker, who has just one year left
on his contract.
But the club will now settle for less — rather than have a player on their
books who does not want to be there and could become a hate figure for the
fans.
RVP scored 37 goals in all competitions last term, 30 of them in the Premier
League.
Your call, Arsene! Fergie goes directly to Wenger to try to get RvP
United are set to try again in the next 48 hours with a £20m-plus offer for striker Arsenal face losing for nothing next summer
Farewell performance? Van Persie played in Arsenal's friendly on Sunday
Reuters
Sir Alex Ferguson has made a personal plea to Arsene Wenger to sell him Robin van Persie.
Manchester
United boss Ferguson has become frustrated by the summer-long saga
which has seen him try to buy the Dutchman, who wants to move to Old
Trafford.
But Fergie’s personal intervention may now pay off as
United are set to come back in the next 48 hours with a £20million-plus
bid which may finally bring a breakthrough.
Fergie has gone
directly to French rival Wenger in an attempt to force the deal through
before the new season kicks off on Saturday. Deal or no deal: Ferguson has gone straight to opposite number Wenger
The Gunners are adamant that van Persie will not be allowed to move to an English club for less than £25million.
They
have made it clear that the price would be higher for United or
Manchester City than for the other suitors, Italian champions Juventus,
but so far no club has come close to meeting Arsenal’s demands.
The
Mirror understands that City made it clear to Arsenal they would be
prepared to go above £20m but have not tabled a bid of that figure
because van Persie has told them he does not fancy a move to Eastlands.
It remains to be seen whether City come back in but Juve, now being linked with Athletic Bilbao's Spain striker Fernando Llorente, have pulled out and now United are in pole position. Van Persie was jeered by some Arsenal fans during their friendly in Cologne on Sunday, when he came on as a substitute and took the captain’s armband.
Godfrey Kato Kajubi was sentenced to life for murdering 12-year-old Joseph Kasirye.
In Summary
Ugandan businessman Godfrey Kajubi founded his
empire on withcraft, whose constant and morbid demands he had to meet.
One of them was human blood and flesh. So, he had 12-year-old Joseph
Kasirye, left, murdered because he needed the boy’s private parts
Godfrey Kato Kajubi was no pauper. At 56, he owns
property in Kampala, including hostels for university students and other
pieces of real estate.
Many mortals would have been satisfied with just a
roof over their heads. But it is not with Kajubi who will spend the rest
of his life in prison.
The businessman, who also owned an expensive house
at Gayaza near Masaka town, where he would often spend weekends, was
seized with the conviction that there was more to making money than
business acumen.
He believed in the unseen hand of spirits and the
power of blood and human flesh in business and prosperity — precisely
the sort of dark alchemy that leads to ritual murder.
And it was just a matter of time before it happened but it takes two to tango.
Kajubi’s partner was Umaru Kateregga, a young
witchdoctor. Kateregga had apparently helped the businessman to recover
the potency of his (Kajubi’s) personal shrine for which he was paid
handsomely.
Kateregga and his wife Mariam Nabukeera lived in
Kayugi village in Mukungwe sub-county, Masaka District, where the
witchdoctor had a shrine.
According to Kateregga’s testimony in court,
Kajubi asked him to find him a boy to work as a farm hand, collecting
eggs on his poultry farm at Gayaza.
Kateregga took time looking for the right
candidate. He finally zeroed in on a neighbour’s grandchild, 12-year-old
Joseph Kasirye, a Class Five pupil.
“The boy was our friend and he used to visit us,” Kateregga told the court.
“He looked miserable and had told us he did not
like school. When we told him about a rich man who would employ him to
collect eggs on his farm, he seemed excited about the idea.
So I went ahead and rang up Kajubi and informed him
that I had found the boy he wanted. He told us that he would come for
him on 27 October, 2008,” Kateregga testified before Mr Justice Michael
Kibita.
On 26 October, 2008, Kateregga visited his
neighbour, Mzee Matia Mulondo, 73, Kasirye’s grandfather and guardian.
At the compound was also Kasirye’s paternal uncle, Paulo Kasirye, who
was visiting.
In court, Paulo Kasirye recalled Kateregga asking
for water. He remembered Kateregga pulling the boy aside and the two
speaking in whispers. The reason would soon be clear.
Just before sunset, the boy took a jerry can and headed for the village well. His family never saw him again.
That evening, Mzee Mulondo and many family members
combed the village for the boy but there was no sign of him. They also
visited Kateregga’s home, but were told the boy had not been seen there.
In court, Kateregga admitted that Kasirye was in
his house waiting for the rich man to pick him up. He testified that a
bed was made for the boy in the living room after supper when Kajubi
called to say that he would be late.
At about midnight, Kajubi called again to confirm
that the boy was at Kateregga’s house. The businessman showed up past
midnight carrying bottles of beer, soda, and samosas.

Beijing marathon gold medalist Samuel Wanjiru's death remains a mystery
12 hours ago
Sammy Wanjiru of Kenya crosses the finish line to win the men's marathon
LONDON – It is not particularly unusual for an Olympic champion to be
unable to defend his title. Some gold medalists retire, some get
injured. Some just fail to qualify after seeing their performance
decline.
The absence of 2008 men’s marathon gold medalist Samuel Wanjiru is a different story.
The brilliant Kenyan,
who scorched the streets of Beijing with an incredible run of 2:06:32,
is not in London because he died last year after falling from a balcony
at his home in Nyahururu.
Fifteen months later, Wanjiru's death is still shrouded in mystery, a saga that is full of controversy and intrigue.
For Wanjiru’s fellow athletes, the smiling champion will be missed at
the starting line for what should have been an opportunity to defend his
title.
"I know we have two things to do here in London," Kenya's Emmanuel Mutai said. "Firstly, we have to retain the title of the late Samuel Wanjiru. Also, for the glory of yourself."
Lauded in his homeland, Wanjiru became swept up in his fame after his
Olympic triumph. He still remained the best in the world and dreamed of
winning back-to-back gold medals in London. Those dreams ended on the
night of May 15, 2011.
Wanjiru's tumultuous marriage made regular fodder for the Kenyan
newspapers, and he had a history of domestic incidents. At the time of
Wanjiru's death, one police official said Wanjiru's wife returned home,
found him in bed with another woman and locked the couple in the room.
Wanjiru then leaped to his death from a balcony. Some police officials
initially called the death a suicide, but others disputed it, saying
Wanjiru died trying to keep his wife from leaving the house.
Dutch author Frits Conijn has written a book called "Death Runner" and
insists that suicide, homicide and accident can't be ruled out as
possible causes of death.
"The evidence concerning his death is not conclusive," Conijn said. "But I can smell a rat."
Kenyan police have not made any arrests, but are still said to be
investigating the case. Conijn’s book claims that Terezah Njeri,
Wanjiru’s wife, changed her story several times during interviews with
police. Conijn admits that the longer the saga goes on, the less likely
the mystery will ever be fully solved.
"He had a different kind of life and there were some problems but we
wish he was here," Kenyan marathoner Wilson Kiprotich said. "He was a
wonderful runner and he should be defending his gold medal."
'I lived with two TEETH inside my EYE for 23 years': Doctors stunned by bizarre discovery inside woman's tumour
Warning: Graphic content -
Doctors operating on a tumour in Nagabhushanam Siva’s left eye were
stunned to find the two fully-formed teeth embedded inside
Tragic: The removal of the tumour has sadly left Nagabhushanam blind
An Indian woman has had two teeth removed… from her EYE.
Doctors operating on a tumour in Nagabhushanam Siva’s left eye were stunned to find the two fully-formed teeth embedded inside.
The 23-year-old said: “I was born with an abnormal left eye and it continued to swell over the years.
“My family was too scared to send me to see a doctor and during the last few years it has grown much bigger.
“I had blurred vision so eventually I consulted a doctor for help.” Horrific: The huge tumour forced Nagabhushanam's eye inside the socket, blurring her vision
Cover Asia Press
Nagabhushanam was diagnosed with Teratoma by doctors at a government hospital in Chennai, southern India.
The tumour had pushed her eye inside its socket and protruded the
skin, blocking her vision and partially damaging the optic nerve.
The growth also left her unable to move her eyeball and had developed lazy eye syndrome.
Doctors said they had seen a few past cases of Teratoma with
tooth-like tissues embedded in the tumour, but fully formed teeth were
very rare.
Hospital Director, Dr K Vasantha, said: “A Teratoma is a mass of
tissue that contains cysts and sometimes contains hard tissues but fully
grown teeth is so very rare.” Fear: Nagabhushanam's family were too scared to take her to a doctor
Cover Asia Press
The removal of the tumour caused severe damage to Nagabhushanam's optic nerve which has tragically left her permanently blind.
“Because it was left untreated all these years the tumour was allowed
to grow to extraordinary lengths. That resulted in the optic nerve
damage,” Dr Vasantha added.
Orbital Teratomas are rare embryonic tumors composed of tissues that grow in the attempt to form an organ.
The first case of this condition was reported 149 years ago. Only 70 such cases have been found worldwide ever since.

'We share one body but we're two VERY different girls': The rarest of all conjoined twins who are defying the odds
Abby and Brittany Hensel are the rarest of all conjoined twins with separate heads and bodies above the waist but just one torso
Preparation: They take turns choosing what to wear
Five Life
Twins are often said to share a special bond but for Abby and Brittany Hensel it runs deeper than most.
They
are the rarest of all conjoined twins with separate heads and bodies
above the waist but just one torso – a trillion-to-one phenomenon.
When they were born 22 years ago, their parents were warned the girls would probably not survive a day.
But the cheerful pair have been through school, graduated, learned to drive and look forward to a full and happy life.
Abby and Brittany have managed to stay out of the spotlight in a sleepy town in Minnesota, US.
But they are about to become international celebrities with their own reality TV show.
Abby
and Brittany which airs in the States this month, follows the twins as
they graduate from university, start looking for jobs and travel to
Europe.
They hope it will prove they are totally different people
with unique personalities, who share dreams of marriage and having kids
of their own.
But don’t ask them about boyfriends just yet.
School work: They've now graduated
Five Life
Brittany, the joker of the two, says: “The whole world doesn’t
need to know who we are seeing, what we are doing and when we are going
to do it.
"But believe me, we are totally different people.”
Abby,
the feisty stubborn one, adds: “Yeah, we are going to be moms one day,
but we don’t want to talk about how it’s going to work yet.”
But it’s certainly going to take a lot of working out when they do.
The
girls are dicephalic parapagus – fused side-by-side with two heads –
twins and only a few sets in history have survived infancy.
They
have two spines fused at the pelvis, two hearts, two oesophagi, two
stomachs, three kidneys, two gall bladders, four lungs – two are joined–
a liver, one ribcage, a shared circulatory system and partially shared
nervous systems.
From the waist down, all organs, including the reproductive organs, are shared.
Strong: But their parents were told they were unlikely to survive
Five Life
They were born in 1990 with a partly-formed third arm which
was removed when they were 12 and had surgery to correct spine curvature
and help their breathing.
But they grew up so strong that parents
Patty, now 46, a nurse, and Mike, 47, a carpenter, never considered
having them separated, as they would each have had just one arm and leg
and been confined to wheelchairs.
Patty says: “From the first time we saw them we thought they were beautiful.
"I kissed Abigail and then Brittany and gave them both a hug.
"It’s been like that ever since – two kisses and a hug for the most beautiful children in the world.”
Although
Brittany can’t feel anything on the right of her body and Abby nothing
on the left, they stunned everyone with the instinctive way they
co-ordinated their limbs as they learned to clap, crawl, walk, run...
and scratch each other’s itches.
Stunning success: They've astonished everyone with how they've coped
Five Life
They play the piano, swim, ride a bike and do their hair and make-up.
At 16 they learned to drive, with one hand each on the steering wheel.
Brittany
explains: “Abby does the pedals and the gear shifter, I take the
blinkers and lights. But she likes driving faster than me.”
Growing up their different personalities and tastes were obvious.
But Brittany says: “Although we are totally different we bargain or we take turns.”
At
meal times they have separate plates, one holds the knife and one the
fork and they take turns to put the food into each other’s mouth.
They take turns to choose what to wear but also have specially made tops with two necklines.
Dating game: They don't want to tall about boyfriends
Five Life
Their parents, brother Dakota, 20, and sister Morgan, 18, encourage them to be as individual as possible.
Growing up in a town of just 300 people they were treated no differently from anyone else.
But outside this close-knit community strangers would stare, take pictures and make comments.
“When children ask if they have two heads, they say they don’t. They each have their own.
“That’s what we have encouraged them to do, to develop their own individuality as much as possible, ” says Patty.
Despite their two different personalities they rarely fall out.
They talked about separation only once as small children, when Brittany was confined to bed with pneumonia.
Abby got restless and wished she could get away.
But when Brittany cried Abby reassured her they would never be parted and offered to take her medicine for her.
Now the twins are putting themselves in the public eye there are bound to be more questions.
Three years ago, unconfirmed reports claimed Brittany was engaged.
If they have started dating, what if one twins hates the other’s lover?
The TV show might provide some answers. But for now the twins seem as happy as ever.
Abby says: “The best thing about being conjoined twins is there’s always someone there to talk to.”
Brittany nods in agreement. “And you are never alone,” she smiles

While they were born with three arms, one was removed surgically.
Abby controls the right side of the body while Brittany controls the left.

survive into adulthood, they are in good health, without heart defects or
organ failure.

'He chewed up my face and plucked out my eyes': Miami cannibal victim speaks for first time about horror attack
Ronald Poppo describes moment crazed attacker savaged him in broad daylight
Recovering: Ronald Poppo is making good progress following attack
The man who had his face chewed off by the Miami cannibal has spoken for the first time about the attack saying: "He just ripped me to ribbons".
Ronald Poppo, 65, was left blind after suffering devastating injuries to nearly half of his face.
He only survived the horrific Memorial Day attack after police shot dead crazed Rudy Eugene after he would not stop savaging him.
In a tape obtained by CBS, Poppo told police: "He just ripped me to ribbons. He chewed up my face. He plucked out my eyes. Basically that’s all there is to say about it."
He later added: "He mashed my face into the sidewalk. My face is all bent and mashed up... He was strangling me in wrestling holds at the same time he was plucking my eyes out."
Mr Poppo, who has undergone several operations at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida, also praised cops who saved his life saying he would have been in "worse shape" had they not acted so quickly.
He told Miami police that 31-year-old Eugene, who he had never met before, was screaming at him that he was going to die, moments before the gruesome attack.
Ordeal: Eugene feasted on Mr Poppo's face for 18 minutes
AP
Video footage, taken by security cameras at the nearby Miami Herald building, show Eugene punching Poppo and stripping him of his trousers before starting to gnaw at his face ripping chunks of flesh away with his teeth.
Horrified witnesses who passed the macabre scene dialled 911.
Police believe it was a chance attack and that Eugene simply stumbled across Mr Poppo.
The footage shows a naked Eugene walking on the pavement near a bridge at around 1.55pm on the Saturday.
He pauses in the shade before he is seen bent over a figure - the view partially obscured by a palm tree.
Eugene then rolls Mr Poppo out into the sun, starts stripping him of his clothes before straddling him.
He is then seen hunched over his face as he begins to eat his face.
Speaking at the time Sgt. Armando Aguilar, president of the Miami Fraternal Order of Police, said: "He had his face eaten down to his goatee. The forehead was just bone. No nose, no mouth."
Sgt. Javier Ortiz, vice president of the Miami Fraternal Order of Police, added it was "one of the bloodiest and goriest scenes I've ever been to."
