
Calling for Entries FiRe Award 2012
The FiRe Award is back with us again. We wish to invite entities for the 2012 Edition of the FiRe Award. The 2012 edition of the FiRe Award will the award’s eleventh anniversary. The FiRe Award is promoted by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. (ICPAK) The FiRe Award seeks to showcase and reward participating entities for adoption of best practices in the financial reporting, corporate governance and corporate social investment.
Interested entities are requested to submit six (06) copies of their audited annual report for the 2011 financial year. The annual report in question must be for periods ending not later than 31st March 2012. In addition to this, entries must be submitted before 30th June 2012 to allow adequate time for evaluation. Please note that the entry is free of any charge and an individual evaluation report will be provided to each participant after the evaluation, the feedback highlights the major observable areas of noncompliance with ISAs and IFRSs/IFRS for SMEs.
Interested entities are requested to drop the six (06) copies of their audited financial statements at the following pick up points with the communication addressed to The FiRe Awards Technical Committee.

2.The Nairobi Stock Exchange Offices at the Nation Centre, 1st Floor along Kimathi Street: Alternatively, entities can send a soft copy of their Annual Reports and Financial Statements to the email below.
