LOGISTICS JOB

Specific Job Responsibilities:
Pre shipment
Raise internal purchase order with all supplier which will be kept in the file after approval
Ensure proforma invoices are approved by coo before signing online

Get proforma invoice from supplier

Verify all hs codes before taking it for signing
Maintain a template with hs code, duty and v.a.t. that products attract
Order placement with supplier
L.p.o. raising-anticipated time of departure and arrival should be put on lpo as first page in all the files
Follow up on proforma invoice
Consolidation of orders ready for shipping in terms of weight, volume  and liaise with management for confirmation to move goods by either sea, or air
Prepare and update back order reports using colour coding on the excel sheet
To informa ll product manager on all the shipped goods
And dates of estimated time of arrival with not values
To meet logistics at least once a week
To meet with coo  every Monday and update him on the logistics activities using format excel check list

Post shipment
Booking of shipping line and dates for shipment
Negotiation of rates
Applying for i.d.f.
Arrange for inspection
Ensure shipment has been effected and follow up on bill of lading
Target vessel date for the shipment
Clearing
Delivery
Bill of lading
All files to have file dividers
Anticipated time of departure and arrival should be put on lpo as first page in all the files

Qualifications
    A diploma/university holder with  relevant professional qualifications
    At least 2 years experience in Logistics
    Must be able to react positively to challenges
    Must be self motivated
    Must have ability to initiate implementation process
    Must have capacity to inspire his/her team
    Excellent communication skills
